Presentation:  "Project of the Year": Interactive Communications Portal

As those members who have been actively attending Long Island Chapter Meetings for a number of years know our May Meeting is normally held in a unique venue each year.  In past years we have conducted the May meeting at venues such as the American Airpower Museum and the Cradle of Aviation.  This year we will continue with this tradition and hold the May Meeting on the high seas! 

On Wednesday, May 13th our Chapter Meeting will be held aboard the Lauren Kristy, a 65 foot turn-of-the-century style riverboat, which sails from the Bay Shore Marina at 6:00pm and returns to the dock at 9:00pm.  The speaker for this evenings cruise will be Mr. Christopher Passaretti, PMP, this year’s recipient of the PMI – LIC Project of the Year Award.  Christopher will present an overview of his winning project – “Interactive Communications Portal” which he managed for Nortel.

Please note that there are a few guidelines for this meeting that must be adhered to:
• This is a PMI- LIC Member only event.  You must be a member of the Chapter to attend.
• Only the first 100 members to register AND pre-pay for this event will be able to attend.  We apologize for the strict process, but we are restricted by the size of the boat and need to cap this event at the first 100 people who register AND pay. 
• Due to the special nature of this meeting the registration fee for everyone is $20, sorry NO EXCEPTIONS.  When you register for this meeting and get to the payment screen, please note that the “Pay at the Door” option is NOT VALID for this event.  You MUST pay upfront for this event or your registration will NOT BE ACCEPTED. 
• Boarding will begin 30 minutes before departure time, the Captain will not wait for anyone.

Directions To The Bay Shore Marina and the Lauren Kristy

The BAY SHORE MARINA is located on the South Shore at the end of Clinton Ave. in Bay Shore.

MONTAUK HIGHWAY (Main Street/Rte. 27A): Clinton Ave. (South)
•  From The West: Go Right at the YMCA on the corner. (St Patrick's School will be on the left). Go 1 mile to Bay Shore Marina.
•  From The East: Go Left at the YMCA on the corner. (St Patrick's School will be on the right). Go 1 mile to Bay Shore Marina.

SUNRISE HIGHWAY (Route #27):
•  Exit #43 South, (Fifth Avenue). Proceed 2 miles on Fifth Avenue to the Bay Shore Marina.

SOUTHERN STATE PARKWAY:
•  Exit #42 south, (Fifth Avenue). Proceed 3 miles on Fifth Avenue to the Bay Shore Marina.

LONG ISLAND EXPRESSWAY (Route 495):
•  Exit #53 south, (Sagtikos Parkway) Proceed approximately 2 miles to end. Bear left at fork, following the signs to Heckscher State Parkway and go to Exit 42 South (Fifth Avenue). Proceed 3 miles on Fifth Avenue to the Bay Shore Marina.
