Stephen Harkins, VP of PMO Global Information Services at Estee Lauder
Stephen J. Harkins is currently Vice President PMO Head for Global Information Services at ESTEE LAUDER COMPANIES. He is responsible for the planning and execution of all IT programs and initiatives in support of ELC strategic and tactical business objectives in partnership with senior IT and business stakeholders.
Prior to joining ELC, Stephen was Head of IT Regulatory Program Delivery at Toronto Dominion (TD) Bank from May 2013 to August 2015. Responsibilities included the planning, execution, and delivery of enterprise IT initiatives to satisfy Dodd-Frank / Enhanced Prudential Standards regulatory requirements.
From 2002 to 2013, Stephen served at Citigroup leading major business transformation and M&A initiatives in roles of increasing responsibility. His last role was Managing Director – Global Strategic IT Transformation. As Global Program Executive, lead regional teams of 2000+ FTE in the planning, design, and execution of business process re-engineering / technology upgrade of core banking client facing and internal sales, servicing, and back office systems across Asia, EMEA, LatAm, and North America – as key enabler to the firm achieving aggressive business / profitability growth. Board level visible investment, budget + $1.5 Billion. Other roles included multi-year international assignments in South Korea and Germany leading business and IT integration of acquired banks and standardization of core retail banking platforms in Asia and Europe.
From 1993 to 2002, Stephen was at JPMorganChase, as Vice President, Head of Retail Cards Strategic Implementation. At then, the second largest credit card business in the industry with 10MM customers.
From 1985 to 1993, Stephen was with National Westminster Bancorp as Vice President of Consumer Loan Operations. Stephen began his career in 1981 at Grumman Aerospace Corporation as a Senior Systems Engineer in the firm’s Integrated Logistics Support Area.

John DePasquale, Senior Director of Information Technology at CA Technologies
John has held a variety of positions during his 20-year career at CA Technologies. John’s knowledge in is IT Delivery, delivering business value by leveraging information technology in achieving business outcomes. Over the course of his career as CA, John has worked with Finance, Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, Legal, Engineering and Mergers & Acquisitions. John has expertise across a wide variety of cloud and on premise solutions from SAP to salesforce.com. He is currently responsible for the leading the Global Project Management Office and is leading CA’s IT group in their Agile Transformation. John started his career at CA as a Pre-Sales Consultant.

Michael Nizich, Ph.D, Director, Entrepreneurship & Technology Innovation Center at NYIT
Michael Nizich holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems from Dowling College, a master's degree in Technology Systems Management from Stony Brook University and a Ph.D. in Information Studies from Long Island University. He is a 24-year IT professional and has worked in several industries including aviation, education, law enforcement and security. Nizich has held IT leadership positions at both the management and executive levels and has extensive experience successfully designing and implementing new technologies to create more efficient and secure work environments. He also has eight years of teaching experience at higher education institutions in both computer science and computer information systems and regularly instructs on network and infrastructure security and database security.
Hannan Sayed, Graduate Student at Stony Brook University, Applied Health Informatics
Hannan has been working as a Project Analyst Intern at Stony Brook Medicine for over a year now. His role includes assisting the Executive Director and Senior Management in improving Electronic Medical Record (EMR) implementation within the Stony Brook Medicine environment by developing project plans, Visio workflows, and Smartsheet’s Dashboards to enhance effectiveness of daily processes. He has also worked alongside the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) to determine inefficiencies in Medicaid Reform onboarding through root-cause analysis documents and best-case practices.
He has also been working as a HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) Scholar for the past 8 months. He was selected from a pool of over 100 candidates to lead a case study task force. He is responsible for investigating the current issues facing Health Information Exchanges (HIEs) with regards to patient engagement and to create formidable solutions accordingly.
